GALAXY TONIGHT
vs. New England
When: 5 p.m.
Where: Home Depot Center
On the air: TV: Galavision (live) and Prime Ticket (delayed, 8 p.m.); radio: 1150 and 1220.
Records: Galaxy 1-0; Revolution season opener.
Record vs. Revolution (2010): 1-1.
Update: With a 1-0 season-opening victory at Seattle in the books, the Galaxy return to Carson seeking another three points and a more cohesive performance. “Our objective is to play better than we did Tuesday,” said Coach Bruce Arena. “If we do that, we’ll position ourselves to win the game. We can’t be too concerned with New England. We know too little about them.” Lineup changes are unlikely since goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, defender Omar Gonzalez and forward Juan Pablo Angel, three projected starters who missed the opener, remain doubtful with injuries or illness. A near-sellout crowd and rain is predicted.
