SCOUTING REPORT: UCLA has built its success on rattling teams with full-court pressure. But unnerving Gonzaga point guard Courtney Vandersloot, the NCAA’s assists leader, will be difficult. So the Bruins must take advantage of the rare times the ball is in other players’ hands. Gonzaga leads the nation in scoring at 86.2 points a game. UCLA gives up 54.3. Coach Kelly Graves and Vandersloot will attempt to impose an up-tempo pace on the Bruins.
KEY TO THE GAME: UCLA must slow down Vandersloot and prevent forward Kayla Standish and other Gonzaga frontcourt players from getting second opportunities on missed shots. Gonzaga needs to limit turnovers and allow its loud home crowd to affect the Bruins.
