Lakers lose to Knicks, 99-95

Reporting from New York City — The Lakers’ winning streak ended at one.
The New York Knicks beat the Lakers, 99-95, behind a late surge Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks scored 11 consecutive points after the Lakers took a 90-87 lead on a Kobe Bryant free throw with 3:02 to play.
Bryant finished with 18 points but made only six of 19 shots (31.6%) in what could be his final game at Madison Square Garden.
Julius Randle had a quiet six points on three-for-12 shooting for the Lakers (1-5), who have three games left on their five-game trip.
It was the fifth consecutive loss for the Lakers at Madison Square Garden.
Carmelo Anthony had 24 points and rookie Kristaps Porzingis added 12 points and 10 rebounds for New York (3-4).
