Baseball fans on the North Side of Chicago had plenty to celebrate after the Cubs won their first World Series in 108 years, after a dramatic Game 7 victory over the Cleveland Indians.
And that’s just what those fans did Wednesday night and well into Thursday morning.
The Chicago Tribune reports that police were kept busy throughout the celebration but that there were no fires, no one shot and no flipped cars — but plenty of people climbing up light poles.

(Police told the Tribune that the officer was taken to the hospital, where his condition was stabilized, and the 25-year-old driver was cited for failure to reduce speed.)
