Earl Thomas says he was tested for HGH after declaring shoulder a ‘10’

The Seattle Seahawks’ Earl Thomas said he was tested by the NFL for human growth hormone on Thursday, just three days before Super Bowl XLIX and one day after implying that the shoulder he dislocated less than two weeks ago felt perfect.
He tweeted: “Yesterday I said my shoulder was a 10 ... Wake up the next morning and I have a blood test for HGH .. League office distraction”
Thomas suffered the injury late in the first half of the Seahawks’ victory over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game. He returned to play in the second half of that game.
He addressed the injury Wednesday during a media session.
“I’ve come so far,” Thomas said. “I feel so much better. Each day, it’s surprised me because this is my first time with the injury and you don’t know what to expect. It has been just positive results from the trainers. They’re doing a great job with me.”
The NFL started testing for HGH in October. The subjects of the tests are said to be chosen at random.
