Clippers’ Blake Griffin vs. New Orleans’ Anthony Davis a good matchup
- Share via
The individual matchup between Clippers All-Star forward Blake Griffin and New Orleans Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis will be perhaps the most intriguing one to watch when the two teams meet Wednesday night at Smoothie King Center.
Griffin has been on a tear, having scored 20-plus points in 29 consecutive games, the longest streak for a Clipper since the franchise moved from San Diego in 1984.
He is averaging a team-best 24.2 points per game.
Davis also has been on a tear, averaging 31.3 points and 13.5 rebounds in his last nine
games.
He leads the Pelicans in scoring (21.8 points) and rebounds (10.5).
In the teams’ first three meetings this season Griffin and Davis have gone hard at each other. Griffin is a powerful force down low, while Davis is more finesse.
