Corona Centennial receiver Javon McKinley has listed USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Ohio State and Miami as his favorite schools.
But the elite 2016 recruit won’t make USC one of his five official visits in the fall.
“I’ve been to that school so many times that if I take that official, it is nothing new,” McKinley said on Saturday at B2G’s Elite Camp in Thousand Oaks.
McKinley, 6 feet 2 and 200 pounds, has set a date to visit Notre Dame and said he would coordinate trips to Oregon, Ohio State and Tennessee. He is undecided about his fifth visit.
McKinley grew up a Trojans fan -- and said that USC was near the top of his list -- but that he wanted to give each school equal consideration.
“’SC was the school, but now it’s a clean slate. Every school starts from the bottom and can show me what they’ve got,” he said.
USC has two receivers committed in its 2016 recruiting class and is expected to sign as many as five.
