Several USC starters questionable for Arizona game

USC receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is not the only Trojans starter who could be sidelined against Arizona on Saturday night because of injury.
Receiver Darreus Rogers and linebacker Cameron Smith are trying to work through hamstring issues, and safety Leon McQuay III suffered a knee strain blocking a punt in practice this week, interim coach Clay Helton said after Thursday’s closed practice.
Smith-Schuster was scheduled to have a hard cast removed and replaced with a soft cast to be fitted for the game, Helton said.
Smith-Schuster’s status for the game has not been determined.
“When you get to this part of the season November, the plays aren’t really new so he knows the game plan inside and out,” Helton said. “It’s just going to be a matter of, how much pain is he in?”
Rogers has been sidelined or slowed by a hamstring issue for the last four games. He played last week against California and caught three passes for 16 yards.
“You can see he’s not at top-end speed right now,” Helton said.
