Australia: penguin territory
Anchlia Waterfront Cottage, 2 Murray St., Bicheno, Tasmania 7215; 011-3-6375-1225, anchlia.tripod.com. “We stayed in one of two units. Ours, the smaller of the two, was a newly renovated, very comfortable place with a bedroom, large living/dining room, kitchen, bath (with washing machine) and lovely gardens. It is on a rocky outcrop next to a beautiful beach. There is a bit of bush between the house and the rocks where fairy penguins roost.” Doubles from $93.
