THE BEST WAY TO WENATCHEE, WASH.
From LAX, nonstop service to Seattle is offered on Alaska, United and Virgin American, direct service (stop, no change of plane) on Southwest and connecting service (stop, change of plane) on United, Alaska, Virgin American and Delta. Restricted round-trip fares begin at $206.
Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 127 S. Mission St., Wenatchee; (509) 888-6240, https://www.wvmcc.org, is an excellent starting point for learning about Miss Veedol and its crew. Curator Mark Behler can provide directions to various monuments in the area. Open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays. Admission: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, $2 ages 6-12.
