Only in Vegas: $100 diamond and gold lasagna

Reporting from Las Vegas — Yes, you can drop $100 on the new “Diamond and Gold” lasagna, the luxury dish found at Portofino at the Mirage.
Layers of pasta come stuffed with porcini mushrooms, Iberico ham and Prosciutto di Parma. That’s topped with 24-month-aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, buffalo mozzarella and Kobe Bolognese spread between each layer.
The entire dish is covered with “foiefredo” sauce, Alfredo sauce infused with foie gras. Top it off with White Diamond truffles shaved table side as well as 23-karat gold flakes for a finishing touch.
But you only have a few days left. Portofino stops making it Dec. 31.
