Wavetek reported that net income rose 34% to $984,000 for the second quarter ended April 2, up from $733,000 a year ago. Revenue rose 21% to $22.9 million, up from $18.9 million during the previous second quarter.
Net income rose 18% to $1.7 million for the first half of the fiscal year, up from $1.4 million during the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 16% to $43.8 million for the first half, up from $37.7 million during the same period a year ago.
Wavetek President John Battin linked the increase in net income to strong sales in international markets. The San Diego-based company produces electronic test and measurement equipment.
