Firm orders for the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 advanced long-range tri-jet have increased by 31% during the first six months of l988. Total bookings for the transport have gone up by 11% during the same period. By June 30 of this year the total firm orders, conditional firm orders, options and reserves had grown to 108 from 17 customers, of which 38 were firm.
