Japan’s NKK to Boost Holding: National Intergroup Inc. tentatively has agreed to sell most of its 50% stake in National Steel Corp. to NKK Corp., a Japanese company that already owns the other half of the steel maker. NKK will pay $147 million cash for 20% of National Steel, then in a second stage will pay preferred stock with a face value of $147 million for another 20%.
