Saatchi & Saatchi to Sell Unit: The London-based advertising conglomerate said it agreed to sell Gartner Group Inc. for $70 million. Information Partners L.P., a Boston-based investment group, will pay cash and a promissory note or shares for Gartner. The sale of Gartner, a Connecticut market information and product data supplier, is part of Saatchi’s plan to sell off its consulting businesses to reduce debt and concentrate on communications operations, the company said. Saatchi paid $86 million for Gartner in June, 1988.
