Cetus Supplier’s Facilities Seized: Cetus Corp. said it will seek other sources of the anti-cancer drug doxorubicin after Italian authorities seized the production facilities and inventory of a supplier following allegations of conspiracy and theft of trade secrets. But the Emeryville, Calif., biotechnology firm said seizure of SICOR could be harmful to its generic drug business. Doxorubicin is considered the most important product that Cetus has sold through a joint venture with Ben Venue Laboratories of Bedford, Ohio.
