Marriott Corp.: The Washington-based lodging and contract services company reported third-quarter net income of $27 million, down 57% from the 1989 period. Revenue was $1.66 billion, down 2%. The company said sales and profits were up in lodging, while in contract services sales were up but profit was unchanged. Figures for 1989 included results of airline catering divested in December, 1989, and discontinued restaurant operations.
