Home Savings Issues Debt in Japan: The savings and loan said its private placement of $50 million in subordinated notes is the largest privately placed debt of its kind in Japan by a U.S. thrift. Home said the offering will help it meet the tougher capital requirements for thrifts that take effect in 1994. Home, based in Irwindale, is a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based H. F. Ahmanson & Co.
