Weyerhaeuser Co.: The wood products company said its third-quarter profit plunged 46% to $90.6 million on revenue that was off 12% to $2.3 billion. The Tacoma, Wash., firm said the main reason for the poorer results was a slowdown in the nation’s construction industry.
