Navistar Ups Stake in Mexican Truck Maker

CHICAGO — Navistar International Corp. said it has increased to 17% from 5% its stake in Mexican truck builder DINA Camiones and agreed to supply engines for DINA medium-duty trucks.
Navistar did not disclose financial terms in its announcement.
The engine supply agreement is expected to add 3,000 to 5,000 engines annually to the production schedule at Navistar’s engine plant in the Chicago suburb of Melrose Park, Navistar said.
Chicago-based Navistar is the leading manufacturer of medium and heavy trucks in North America and the world’s largest maker of mid-range diesel engines.
