Goodspeed to Head Lucky in California

Richard E. Goodspeed, 54, president of Lucky supermarkets’ Northern California stores, has been named to a new position in charge of the chain’s outlets throughout the state. The move was precipitated by the departure of William E. Yingling, president of Lucky’s Southern California division. Yingling has been named chairman and chief executive of Thrifty Corp. Richard E. Fredericksen, 51, has been named executive vice president and general manager for Lucky’s Northern California division. He was most recently the chain’s senior vice president for statewide marketing.

Robert P. Hermanns, 47, has been named executive vice president and general manager for the Southern California division. Hermanns was most recently Lucky’s senior vice president of marketing for the chain’s Northern California division.
