Banker Goes to School: Orange County banker Mark Simmons is going back to school--sort of.
Simmons, president and chief executive of Marine National Bank in Santa Ana, is the new chairman of the executive committee of Corporate Partners, a program set up by UC Irvine’s Graduate School of Management.
“Three or four years ago, I was hardly aware of the Graduate School of Management or even of UCI,” Simmons told the school’s magazine, UCInsight. Corporate Partners is a program designed to provide a link between the business community and the school.
