Manufacturers are showing off uses of composite materials, such as carbon-reinforced fiberglass, at the annual Composites in Manufacturing and Tooling for Composites Expositions, which conclude today at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. Composites can be tougher and lighter than the strongest metals, says the show sponsor, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
