Fluor Corp. said Monday that it has opened a new office in Leipzig, Germany, to improve its position in the German and Eastern European markets. Fluor’s construction and engineering subsidiary, Fluor Daniel GmbH, already has offices in Duesseldorf and Wiesbaden. However, the company hopes to position itself for what is expected to be a flurry of industrial construction as the former West Germany begins making massive investments in the infrastructure of the old East Germany over the next three years.
