52-Week T-Bill Rates Rise: The Treasury sold $12.86 billion of 52-week bills at an average discount rate of 4.01%, up from 3.84% at the last auction Jan. 9. It was the highest rate since 52-week bills averaged 4.20% Dec. 12. The bills will carry an equivalent coupon interest rate of 4.21%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,594.50. Bids totaled $38.62 billion.
