First it was clowns and balloons. Then car dealers escalated their promotions by offering free lunches.
Moon Nissan in Cerritos upped the ante several months ago by handing out a free lunch and a pair of Reebok athletic shoes to people taking weekend test drives.
But the management of South County Isuzu in Huntington Beach has hit a new high or low, depending on your perspective.
On Saturday, people who stop by the lot can get a slice of pizza and watch “hot oil wrestling” by four bikini-clad women who normally work at a club in Los Angeles.
Tammy Bruce, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women said the promotion “is one of the reasons car dealers are in trouble--they misjudge the public.” She also called it “a flyspeck in the sea of misogyny.”
