DAUM Notes a Surge in Oxnard Plant Purchases

A number of companies that formerly rented plants in Ventura and elsewhere have recently purchased new locations in Oxnard, according to Paul Jacobs, an agent in the Camarillo office of DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services.
“Small companies seem able to find desirable space that’s affordable in Oxnard,” Jacobs said. “The movement has mainly been from Ventura, although firms that used to rent in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties have also been buying in Oxnard lately.”
In the past eight months, Jacobs said, he has been involved in the sale of four buildings or business condominiums to concerns that have moved to Oxnard from other cities.
