Turkey Orders More Lockheed F-16s: Turkey would get an additional 40 of the fighter jets under an agreement signed by representatives of the Turkish and U.S. governments, Calabasas-based Lockheed Corp. said. The company estimated the value of the order to Lockheed at $350 million. The follow-on order, which increases Turkey’s total F-16 orders to 240 from 200, provides for the jets to be built at a factory near Ankara, Turkey, by Tusas Aerospace Industries Inc., a joint venture partly owned by Lockheed, and delivered beginning in 1998.
