Xerox, Environmental Group, Will Test Hydrogen Vehicles: Within a year, Xerox Corp.’s El Segundo facility will be using three trucks converted to burn hydrogen fuel instead of gasoline as part of a $2.5-million federally aided research project, Xerox and Clean Air Now, a Southern California environmental group, announced. The first-of-its-kind project, in which solar energy will be used to produce hydrogen fuel, will receive matching funds from the White House Technology Reinvestment Project, which encourages conversion of military technology to civilian use.
