State of the Art Inc.: A group that includes P.A.W. Capital Corp. said it has a 5.7% stake in the Irvine developer of accounting software for microcomputers. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the group said it bought the stake for investment purposes. The group bought 346,400 shares of common stock from June 22 to Aug. 14 at prices ranging from $6.92 to $10.14 a share. The group holds 643,600 shares.
