TWA, Carl Icahn Sue Each Other Over Ticket Agreement: Former TWA owner Carl Icahn accuses the airline of interfering with his right to sell tickets under an agreement that required him to forgive a $190-million loan to the St. Louis-based carrier. Trans World Airlines Inc., in turn, reinstated a lawsuit withdrawn in December after three months of negotiations reached an impasse. The airline alleges that Icahn is breaching the agreement by selling the discounted tickets to the public through travel agencies rather than limiting sales to corporate customers. In his suit, Icahn alleges that TWA is giving travel agents coupons of $50 to $100 to discourage them from buying TWA tickets through his company.
