Survivair to Be Bought

SANTA ANA — A Rhode Island company, Bacou USA Inc., said Monday it has agreed to acquire the respiratory business of Santa Ana-based Survivair from Comasec International SA. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bacou said Survivair, which focuses on making breathing products for firefighters and industrial uses, had sales of more than $30 million in 1995. For the first nine months of this year, Bacou USA had $84.4 million in sales.
Bacou USA designs, manufactures and sells personal protective equipment, including nonprescription protective eye wear and respirators.
