Gourmet Market to Be Anchor at New Mall

Bristol Farms, a gourmet food market, has agreed to become an anchor tenant in the Kaleidoscope entertainment mall currently under construction, a company spokesman said.

Kaleidoscope now has two major tenants and several other signings are expected to follow. Located at Crown Valley Parkway and Interstate 5, Kaleidoscope is expected to open next spring.

Bristol Farms will lease a 25,000-square-foot space in the mall. The 215,000-square-foot Kaleidoscope will offer a variety of restaurants, specialty shops and a 10-screen Edwards Theatres Circuit complex.

Bristol Farms is a specialty food shop that aims at an affluent customer base.

“We’re anticipating a good response now,” said Stephen McGill, a spokesman for the developer, Pacific Development Partners Inc. Beverly Hills. “Things are heating up now. There’s a lot of activity on the table.”

With construction activity now visible on the site, city officials say they eagerly await the announcement of new tenants and the eventual opening of the mall.

“I’m delighted that they are moving forward with tenants,” Mayor William S. Craycraft said. “Everyone is excited about what Kaleidoscope is offering. I’m looking forward to the completion and the grand opening.”
