Outstanding small-company owners have a chance to be named the national “Small Business Person of the Year” under the federal Small Business Administration’s annual contest underway now.
The winner from the Los Angeles regional office--who will be profiled in The Times--will go on to compete statewide and nationally.
The contest ends with a White House ceremony and three days of events and meetings in Washington, D.C.
The SBA will also recognize outstanding small-business advocates, small-business exporters, young entrepreneurs, and federal contractors and subcontractors.
Nov. 3 is the deadline for entries with nomination packages.
