Regarding “A Shift to Green,” June 12:
Twenty years ago, Union 76 interviewed us for a project designed to discover what environmentalists were thinking. One of the questions: If you were CEO of Union 76, what would you do?
Our answer: 1) Put environmentalists on your board. What they are calling for today is where the business will be going tomorrow. 2) The 20th century was all about polluting industries. The 21st will be about cleaning up the mess. Put your money, your time and your research there.
Nobody paid us much mind, but now we see an even bigger opportunity: Let’s make Los Angeles the leader in green industries.
