Ex-Exec Sues Wal-Mart Alleging Defamation

A former Wal-Mart Stores Inc. employee sued the world’s biggest retailer for defamation after Wal-Mart released documents accusing the man of helping another former executive misappropriate company funds.
Jared Bowen, who filed a whistle-blower lawsuit against Wal-Mart this year, said Wal-Mart had called him “a liar, a thief and a fraud” in documents it released last week in response to Bowen’s whistle-blower suit.
