Interactive graphic: EA-18 Growler
The U.S. Navy’s EA-18 Growler uses high-powered radar, antennas and a jammer to send and receive electromagnetic signals, disrupting and/or disabling enemy radar to protect friendly planes. Designated EA-18, for electronic attack, the Growler is a modified version of the F/A-18 fighter.
